Took only 3 days to get to my house. As it was refurbished, the screen was kind of dirty, but with about 10 minutes and a screen cleaning cloth, it looked like new. One tiny chip was on the case near the pci slot, but it is very unnoticeable. Great buy, great quality. I would say it is very close in performance to a sager that I bought about a month ago for $2200.
I got all my cool stuff with a tax return. I am a truck driver but also have three kids so they get a few thousand and I get a few thousand and my wife gets a few thousand.
You are probably better off with that than a new one. Refurbished computers that don’t have a “known” problem (like a thousand of the same mobo frying within days of use) are just great laptops that have replaced defective drives (rest assured the mobo, gpu, etc are high quality). It was most likely the hdd because that’s the only problem I have seen. Sometimes people don’t know how to fix corrupt ram and take it back. I almost did, but I just had to remove the battery for a few minutes.
for $740 you will get a refurbished X5, if you´re in a budget and you want a decent gaming notebook, i suggest this one, i´ve got it from best buy and it´s great
any idea what kind of cooling system this thing has? i own one and was just wondering why it never gets hot! it only gets hot from the side vent but shouldnt the entire thing be getting hot?
what do you mean you don’t belive in ant-viruse software, what do you think that viruses are just a myth put out by the goverment to scare us into speeding money?
your being fool hardy, windows defender has some of the lowest detection rates of any software, and it’s real time protection is a joke. email viruses are virtually no-existent now a days. most snake into your system just by viewing a web page. there are some out there that are very light on system restores. i personal use malware-byes. i got a secial online but if you want to go the legal way, you can buy a licesnce of like 25 or 30 dollers.
the switch by the battery that you did not know what it was for is the battery lock make sure the switch is by the padlock that lookes like it is closed the switch keeps the battery in and if you want to take out the battery flick it to the padlock that lloks like it is open
I don’t use any AV software. It depends what you do online. I use a bunch of things and im constantly downloading and never a virus in the past like 10 years I’ve had a computer
