9800gx2 Evga Bench/Gameplay Test
Spec: e6850 @3ghz (qx6850 next month) 4gb Crucial Ram (4)150gb Raptor 10K X-Fi Sound Card 680i XFX motherboard EVGA 9800gx2 Test: 3DMARK06 – 13.6k Game: COD4 – 40-80fps World In Conflict: 25-35fps Medieval 2: Total War: 30-40fps Pro: Still an improvement, good AA. Also good result on high-res. Con: Bad result on low-res. Sometimes Crash, Driver issue need serious tune up. Note: This great is cool 50-70c. Quiet, and just needed a better driver. Though the crash is a constant annoyance. I’m the only one out of 4 of my friend who can run this card. Because the lack of certified 6-8pin adapter. More video soon, (Crysis) blame Faulk7585 for rushing me. LOL.
As usual SLI and Quad SLI disappoints. I’m glad I didnt get this card. Rather wait for a true next gen.
wow what a low score dude. I get 15k and i’ve oced a Q6600 2.4 to 3ish, when i get it to 3.7Ghz, itll be like 20k, seriously.
i run it on 1280×1024 AFx16 then i put AAx16..i got the same score! Zotac 9800GX2, just wait till i put it on my 30″ HD, 1080i ill crack that res up and it’ll still get the same score.
On 3dmark Vantage, that’s a different story, i get a high score, but it doesn’t give me a FINAL 3D mark score which sorta sucks.
seriuosly i doubted, i wanted to wait for Series 10, but just get a CPU u can overclock to around 4g and this card just FLIES.
i go crysis AF16 all very high dx10 running well apart from the final few scenes, but there its all down to physics, the cpu is beign raped by it. If i get an Ageia card the 9800 will piss on that game.
seruosly games like COD dont test anything, i dunno why ppl run them, youll get insane rates on most cards, GoW is more demanding.
put something serious on like Crysis.
1,000 K In Cards ; lololol.
Lucky !
oh my g0d 25-35 fps 2 9800 gx2 on world n conflict my god
u know crysis doesnt support ageia physics card right?
i wouldnt think so…
check out my 15k
Your Gx2 seems to be running a little slow if it only gets 30 average in WiC. I get 30 FPS with my pathetic 8600GT on all high settings on 1024×768. I’d do some more checks on all the clocks to see what’s up.
lol heg et so low fps why he have not so good mobo upgrade ur motherboard and u will get more fps -.-
High res maybe
i don’t play many games
Does that game support SLI? I know that games that don’t support SLI won’t see improvemnts on the 9800 GX2
It’s not a question whether the game supports SLI, is whether the driver you have supports SLI in that particular game.
oh, i only start looking into all of this when i build a new computer. I’m actually putting one together now and i plan on putting a 9800 GX2 in it.
how much money do u have or do u own a pc business
are u talking about runescape?!!? WTF?!
huh? what are you talking aobut/
If i run a 9800gx2 on a Crossfire motherboard the 9800gx2 would run 100%??
You can only run one 9800gx2, not two in SLI. However, one of these cards by itself is basically in SLI, so idk if that works too, probably not.
you can run 2 9800 gx2′s in sli…but not on a crossfire ready motherboard.
Yeah, true, which is kinda what I wanted to get across. But if you kinda think about it, 1 9800 GX2 UNIT is basically 2 98XX series GPU’s SLI’ed together, the intention behind this card is to provide SLI capabilities on a non-SLI motherboard. What I am still confused about is: will Dual (not QUAD) SLI still work on a crossfire motherboard? In other words, will 1 9800GX2 UNIT work ok on a crossfire motherboard if its SLI is enabled? My guess is yes, but running 2 9800GX2 UNITS is not possible.
yea the 9800GX2 will work fine with any crossfire board. just not 2
the sli is integrated on this card. you dont have to worry about.
could you give me the benchmark tool
thx
