hey i didnt seey do anything to that piece that you started the video with..all you did was screw it in..um.. is that really all you do? and did you buy that piece online? please respond..cuz thats what i need to fix..i need my pc fixed for school. it starts in like 2 days.

Yes! All you need to do is buy a new Power Board or Power Jack. But make sure it compatible with your laptop.

Ahh shit I didn’t realise you had to remove the screen. I have a Acer TravelMate 3620 which was only 18 months old when the pin in the power jack snapped off. I was told the whole board needed to be replaced (as shown in this video) and I was quoted about $85 including delivery by the local Acer parts supplier. I want to fix it but I don’t want to spend that much for a notebook that I could only sell for $200 at the most.

Can anyone link me to the technician manual/assembly guide for this?

my friends laptop has completely died, the battery charges but when the power button is pressed nothing happens, Ive removed the case and pressed the switch manually but nothing happens could this be a possible fix?
