Far Cry 2 Benchmark of the ‘nVidia Warrior’ Tri-SLI PC
A benchmark of my PC using the Far Cry 2 Benchmark tool. The benchmark was performed with all settings to the Max, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 4xFSAA and no overclocking was used. Hardware configuration of the ‘nVidia Warrior’ Tri-SLI PC: Case: CoolerMaster Stacker 830 nVidia Edition. Case cooling: 5x Scythe S-Flex 800 2x standard CoolerMaster that came with the case. Power: Thermaltake Toughpower Cable Management 1200W. Motherboard: XFX nForce 790i Ultra SLI. CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 (stock cooling). GPU: 3x XFX GeForce GTX 280 1GB (stock cooling). GPU Driver: 180.42 (beta). Memory: OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB DDR3-1333. HDD: 2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA2 in RAID 0. OS: Windows Vista Home Premium NL 64 Bit. The song in the video is “Cascade Part 2″ from “The Future Sound Of London”.
I’ve done some research, and found out it happends to even single gpu setups.
It’s a DX10 problem, and can be solved by locking the FPS to fx. 40.
DX9 have no problems.
I agree with you. The gameplay sucks
Hey very cool video and very nice system. Look at my videos i have a core i7 with 2 x 4870×2 .
your set for a few years mate
, I’m just about to get my new 9800×2
Yeah, my thought exactly. That was what i was aiming for. To be set and not look back!
You have fun with your 9800X2. It’s like SLI in a box!
No matter what people say: nVidia RULES!
Yea nVidia is pretty good, even my aging 7950 GX2 is still kicking ass in DX9 games, can’t wait until the 9800 GX2 comes
6:12 – A guy gets hit in his back by an exploding barrel xD
is the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 with 3.0 ghz any good for gaming?
Nvidia rules….!!!
I’ got my 4870 1gig for less than half the price of the gtx280, and i can play far Cry 2 with it on Ultra High setts at 1920 res.with 4xaa and get over 40 average fps.
Nvidia rules my ass.
You are right:
I recently bought a 30″ and am now using a resolution of 2560 by 1600. With all settings maxed out and 4xaa i get an average of 78,82 (Minimum 48,50 – Maximum 165,38).
Like i said, you’re right: nVidia rules over your ass too!!!
But what i see here, in your vid, is a test at 1680*1050 res. with 4xaa….and you egt an average of 82fps
So what the fuck are you talking about..?
Your not gonna get 4fps less at 3 times bigger resolutions.
So? Where’s your video?
yeh
Screen recorders usually drop my FPS.
So I would expect it dropped his too.
Granted, I’m only running 4GB DDR2, Phenom 9650, and a single 9600GSO, but still.
FRAPS can slaughter my framerate depending.
Or, it used to at least.
When I had 2GB DDR2.
I haven’t tested it yet with my new RAM.
That was supposed to be a reply to ”
robspierre6″.
Wow, that’s some amazing frames!
nvdia or ati which good?
Get a Vapor X 4890.
how much power for 8gb ddr3 one or tow vid card quad core 2.33?????????? 600w good?
WoW it s perfect
nvidia forever
damn i got 118fps at max and average was 59.20 something i’m using a 2 way sli gtx 260 oc maxcore 55 i was running everything all max out 8xx AA 1680×1050
wow 3 nvidia gtx 280s? haha you must really love gaming to spend that much money. but at least you will play every game on max with over 30 fps for the next 2 years lol
That’s what i was thinking too!
lol well after spending probably almost a thousand dollars in graphic cards you should be able to
waste of money i thibk so!
