  4. @hvguy If you are running xp (this might work with vista)
    1. Insert install disk for OS
    2. click “Perform Additional Tasks)
    3.Click “Set Up Remote Desktop

  6. @PCWizKid i don’t have a password on either of my pcs what do i type, i tried just the user name but that didn’t work, also created a guest user under the remote tab>select users… option.

  8. can anyone elp me? i’m able to connect to compters inside my network only. but when i go to my relatives house i get the “This computer cannot connect to the remote computer” message

    Hi im running Vista and when i open the Remote tab all i get is enable remote assistance i dont get all the otherstuff like let other type of user differnt then vista! Im missing the remote desktop!!!! PLZ HELP

  11. google MyGreenPC…they are giving away free Premium accounts…its very easy to setup and allows you to remotely power-on/off the PC as well.

    Windows Vista Beta was like in 2005 or something, that vid is from 2007 I guess, so that has to be a theme LOL.

  20. i have done everything in the video except where the remote desktop is?
    in the video it shows it at 0:25.
    i have the remote assistance section but not the lower section?
    any solutions or advice for this problem?

    @richierooo the three options at the bottom of that window are only available on Windows Vista Business Enterprise and Ultimate Editions.

    @Doubleringer Remote Desktop Connection is not available in the following versions of Windows Vista:
    Windows Vista Starter
    Windows Vista Home Basic
    Windows Vista Home Premium

    Remote Desktop Connection is available ONLY in the following versions of Windows Vista:
    Windows Vista Business
    Windows Vista Enterprise
    Windows Vista Ultimate

    Unfortunately you will have to upgrade or install Windows Vista Business or above to use the feature ”Remote Desktop Connection”.
