Alienware M15x Gaming Laptop Windows Index Scores Performance – ATI 5850 GPU

Too bad Index scores are based on LOWEST score, my ram and HD can be better, but they do me well for what I need it for! The GPU scores blow the rest away. 7.2 out of 7.9 for graphics and gaming graphics!! @hom3R1234 yes over that, but you get your moneys worth. It will beat ANY other laptop out there. Appearance and performance it tops out ANY computer out there. Blows away pretty much ALL laptops. This is the only laptop with the ATI 5850 with 1GB GDDR5 (not ddr3 like most other laptops have) GDDR5 is a newer, and better memory type for video cards. This is DEDICATED memory and the jump from DDR3 to GDDR5 is very large. Name any other laptop that can even match this one.

@ThisConnection ofcourse the ASUS has the 5850, but ASUS computers look like SHIT. and look so flimsy. Alienware is a tank and is more durable than any laptop out there.

  6. @ThisConnection Hey buddy, you’re wrong, this isnt the fastest 15″ notebook out there. Check out the Clevo W860CU. i have one, bought it in July, blows youre note book out of the water, fully upgradable also. Lowest score in windows index is 7.2.
Alienware are expensive, and put looks over performance.
Intel Core i7 Extreme i7-920XM Processor, 2 GHz,
    6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz – 1 x 2GB
    ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5870 w/1GB GDDR5 DX11
160GB Intel X25-M G2 SATA II Solid State Drive
    oh, and cheaper :)

  7. This is why I NEED a new computer. My index score is 2.5
The graphics on my computer are >3.1
The calculations per second is 4.4
And the memory calculations and data transfer are 4.3
Also, my ghz is a 1.8 (They have phones higher than that) and my RAM is 928mb,
All I could ever wish for is my parents to cave and get me a laptop for chistmas or let me get a job

ha my rig is way sicker than this with the index, and Im running alien-ware on a PC i built myself. lol hope you guys really get your 4000 worth or whatever ridiculous amount you spend.
just build a PC on your own donw rely on Manufactures to do it for you, you also learn a great deal about PC’s when you do this it sonly benefical in any way you look at it.

  10. @casselberryballer I got mine for under 1500, *shrug* i think thats an amazing deal for what I got it for. video card alone will cost ~$400, probably another $500 for processor, for a 1080p screen, uhm i dont know maybe $500? already got my money worth if you include the ram price. PLUS the Operating software + MS office 2010 for FREE! (~$300). I think it’s worth it and it LOOKS AMAZING! good luck trying to make it look as cool as alienware does it! a team of engineers +scientists >> YOU!

  11. du you think about ssd?

wtf? running alien-ware? aw is a pc vendor, not a piece of software. yes, you can build a laptop more powerful than this, but no, it will not be the same quality, have the same features, or be covered by a warranty.
