ASUS G60VX Laptop Review By Smoka Cola

Smoka’s Review This is my review on the G60VX Laptop. All in all the laptop is a great buy. It performs well when playing games and it can also be used to run other applications such as Photoshop CS5 or Guitar Rig 4. The only downside is the screen but it is understandable. There is a slight bleed through the sides but when you’re gaming its not noticeable and if you’re watching videos you won’t notice it, so its not a major problem. I plan on making gameplay videos of the laptop, but those will be posted on my channel as there will be several of them and I don’t want to flood puggaming with nearly the same videos. Also I plan on taking it apart and letting everyone see the inside and explain what kind of modifications can and can’t be done on the laptop. After I finish with these set of videos I plan on going back to game reviews and possibly gameplay videos as I get the time to record. Laptops are SHIT.

    IF you want to be a PC GAMER

    BUILD A FUCKING PC

  7. @CowManProductions implying you cant run games on a laptop. and implying EVERYONE is always at home with there pc handy.. having a laptop that runs every game out gives you the mobility to take your gaming with you when you are away and on travel. ><

    @PugGaming It’s a fucking laptop.

  9. @CowManProductions This laptop performs better in games then 80% of people who will be view this video computer.. and judging by your words prob including yours..

    @PugGaming Nope.avi I’m a PC gamer so I built my computer which just shits all over this shitty laptop.
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P7450(2.13GHz)
    RAM: 4GB DDR2
    GPU: GTX 260m 1GB GDDR3
    That’s fucking PATHETIC.

  12. what is better this laptop or the asus g73jh? pls respond?

  13. My friend bougth a laptop, and he easily play assassins creed 2 in dx 10 without compromise between performance and quality of graphics.
    And there are lots of gamer laptops on the internet like on steam. Alienware! for example. Laptops aren’t peace o sh*t!
    I have a pc but sometimes I need to go somewhere outside (FOR PLAY GAMES like a nerd hahah! jk) and I dont have laptop =’( A mobility radeon cant make 1000 FPS in cod2 but you can play any games on dx10 with high fps rate. Laptop = Freedom

  14. @blake2142 The g73jh is better overall. but it cost more then double then this one. Depending on what you are wanting to do is based on your choice. Overall i would go with the one in the video due to price/performance ratio. As mentioned this laptop will run generally every game out today at reasonable FPS.

  15. @CowManProductions Really glad you thought that one out. By the way, my main rig…

    CPU: Core i7 930 @ 4.02GHZ
    RAM: 6GB Tri-Channel DDR3 @ 1066MHz
    GPU: 5970 @ 850/1200MHz
    Sound: Auzentech Prelude
    Display: 3 22″ Monitors in Eyefinity

    I bought a laptop so I could have something portable, and considering it maxes out anything recent with smooth frames, I’d say its a great buy for someone who wants to use it as a desktop replacement. Plus you can upgrade the parts.

    @Sm0kaCola That’s average, also Eyefinity = LOL.
    5970… Bitch plz.. 4.02GHZ!? LOL

  17. @CowManProductions Now you’re just trolling, and a poor job at that :) Be well sir! Be well.

  18. @CowManProductions The laptop i was using before this computer was running any game pretty well so saying they are shit make you wrong

  19. CowManProductions on January 11th, 2011 at 9:36 pm

    @Sm0kaCola 4.02GHZ this day and age is pathetic.

  20. @CowManProductions All you’re doing now is helping my video get more comments, I could really care less what the comment is. I prefer well constructed comments that are actually worth replying to as they could help someone who had a question. But I can deal with a troll fresh out of 4chan. Oh, pro tip. Might want to play on machinima as the console crowd tends to be less mature :)

    @Sm0kaCola It’s disgusting that someone like you calls yourself a “PC Gamer”.

    You’re a disgrace to PC gaming little boy.

  22. @PugGaming I have an Asus G72gx and in the video you said you can change the sound and image of the ROG symbol upon start-up…. i know how to change the sound volume for the “boom” sound but how do you change the image? I know its a different computer but its real similar, i never even knew that was possible to change the image… is it changed from the BIOS set-up or some way in windows?

  23. DarkLiberatorZone on January 12th, 2011 at 3:23 am

    @CowManProductions Jesus Christ, he’s just showing the laptop as something for people who want a computer that people can carry around and also get decent frames in games. Not everybody has time to hang at their desktop all fucking day. Its not like he could carry his 5970 to work. :P

  25. You have mixed the GPU with a CPU, its the CPU you mean!
